The Worcester Birmingham Canal Society own the 70' narrowboat
'CECILIA.'
This 8-berth boat is used to offer holidays to groups of people and other charities that would not normally have the opportunity of experiencing the inland waterways.
We would welcome any approach from groups involved in children with learning difficulties, under privileged children, children with special needs, scouts, girl guides, age concern and support groups in general.
We are currently talking to potential sponsors about the
possibility of finding a corporate sponsor to cover our costs. If we are
successful it will mean all use of 'CECILIA' can be offered free of charge.
Until then we will make a small charge to each group as they use the boat.
If anyone has any knowledge of groups who they think might benefit from such a project let us know. If anyone has any knowledge of a commercial company who may be interested in sponsoring such a boat with all the goodwill publicity that will come from such a partnership again let us know.
